Roskilde Ravens crown their fine performance at the European Championship Finals by taking the bronze, defeating SK Gaming 2-1.
The Danes faced SK Gaming in the match to determine third and fourth place, once again with the Danes being the underdogs (rated 10% to win by the users).
Starting on de_inferno, Ravens out by shocking SK with solid CT play. Towards the end of the first half, SK caught up on the Danes, securing seven rounds against eight for Ravens. SK now playing CT, put up a great effort, something Ravens had problems to cope with. SK Gaming clinched match point, but could not close it before the very last round, winning 16-14.
Second map de_train, Ravens won the right to start CT. Winning the pistol-round started a strong defense by Ravens, especially Christian "turkizh" Bindslev and the stand-in Michael "Friis" Jørgensen contributed with solid-play. The Danes noted a 13-2 lead before switching sides. Winning the T pistol-round, put Ravens in a good position and SK Gaming could not stop them. Ravens won 16-2 and forced a third and all deciding map.
Third map was de_nuke, with SK Gaming starting CT. The Danes continued their strong play from second map, which meant gathering a lot of important T rounds. SK Gaming went out on top of the first half, scoring nine rounds. Ravens now to play CT, the Danes once again showed they are capable of executing a strong CT side. The strong defense became too much for SK Gaming, who saw Ravens win 16-11 and 2-1 overall.

Ravens third place finisher
This ends the Ravens success-story from the European Championship Finals, which they crown with a third place. Third place gives Ravens a cheque of $5,000, while SK Gaming will have to do with $2,500. Both teams will furthermore be on display at the World Championship Finals in March.
